MY FAMILY! We had so much fun over the Thanksgiving holiday! We Turkey Trotted, ate, played Ultimate Frisbee which, I LOVE now! ate, went to the Monterey Aquarium, and ate some more! CHECK out the AWESOME shirts my brother made!! We so want to be like "Dan in Real Life!" This year, we may have pulled it off :) I have so much fun with my family! I miss them.

So, for Ike's birthday I told him we would have a "special" day with just the two of us. Well, he has always wanted to go to Build-A-Bear so I thought I would surprise him. We met his friends Elsa and Vivian at the mall. They were all able to pick out their own animals and they all chose the turkey!!

Ike LOVES his Turkey, Tom! ( Yes,we are VERY original :) ....

and I LOVE Ike!! He is such a sweet little boy! He always makes me smile and just has the funniest personality! This is such a fun age. I cannot believe he is SO big now! HAPPY BIRTHDAY my little Ike! I sure love you!!

PUMPKIN PATCH

The family went to the pumpkin patch for FHE. The kids LOVED the maze and the scary tunnel!! Gretta loved all the little pumpkins and hay. She really did have a great time, even though she is NEVER smiling in the pictures! This is my favorite time of the year! I just wish it would have cooled off for more than a day. Soon enough I am sure. (Oh, I think I need a new camera). Good thing Christmas is right around the corner! (hmmmm....) any one have a suggestion?

Cole had a very special birthday this year. He turned 8 on Sept. 6th. We decided to make a mini-vaca out of Labor day weekend, so we drove to Utah. We were there for a week and it was so fun to see everyone. It makes living away easier when I can see them every 3 months or so!! Cole decided he wanted to get baptized in Utah. He was so excited to have his cousins there!

Also, our Primary has challenged all eight year olds to pass off their Articles of Faith this year and they would get a HUGE cookie. Well, Cole received his cookie today. So many people stopped him in the hall to congratulate him. They could not believe that he was just baptized and had already passed of his A. of F. I am so proud of him, too. He is so smart and determined. He really is just a sweet boy! I cannot believe he is already eight! The time is flying by!!

SPRING BREAK OVERLOAD!!

I cannot believe spring break has come and gone! What a busy week we had! Beware of the LONG slide! We just did so much :) We started our break by seeing the movie Monsters vs. Aliens. It was pretty cute. I wish I had a picture of all of us wearing our 3D glasses. We also had our ward Easter egg hunt. It was pretty cute. We had egg races, tosses, and then the hunt. The Easter bunny even made an appearance! For Spring break, all the kids ( mine and Jennifers') got new sunglasses. I did get a pic of that. We all decided to head South on Tues. We stayed in Manhattan Beach. We hit Hollywood Blvd. to see the "stars" . We went to the LA zoo. We matched all the boys to help keep track of them. It worked! We only lost Elsa once! ;) I knew we should have gotten her a yellow shirt too. :) One out of eight is not too bad! Elsa wasnt even worried. She found a new friend. On our last day, we went to the beach. It was a little chilly, but the kids still had fun. The poor Poyers all had the flu. They were still troopers and came to the beach! We had such a great time! I could NEVER live there with that traffic, but it is nice living close enough to visit often. Thanks Poyers for a wonderful spring break! ( Oh, and thanks for the flu too!) Just kidding!! At least ours waited until AFTER the trip! :) At least now I have an excuse for a little after vacation R&R! I just feel so bad for the kids! YUCK!!!!

This month has been crazy at our house. We have ALL been sick. Cole had a terrible cough that would NOT go away... well three weeks later he lost his and I must have found it! It is miserable. You dont get any sleep and neither do the people in your bed. (yes, at our house it is people in my bed. Every night we have Ike with us, and for some reason Max has been joining us the past few nights. Is a king even BIG enough??) Max had double ear infections, and Ike had some random fever that still comes & goes. Strange.

Then, Gretta had RSV and bronchitis! Poor thing. She had to do breathing treatments every four hours and HATED it! The boys were so concerned for her. So, just when everyone is getting back to normal.....

Wham- Greg sprains his ankle playing basketball. He thought he had actually broken it because of the loud POP but I guess he severely sprained it!? He is supposed to get an MRI this week. He is your typical guy. He didnt need the pain meds offered to him from the hospital, or crutches. Well, now that all MY left over vicodin and percocet is gone he had to see the Dr. :) Also, our friend found us some crutches. MY lifesaver. Now Greg can get off the couch. I knew I didnt want 5 kids!! JUST KIDDING!! Love ya :)

Well, we are all feeling so much better! Just in time for Gretta's birthday party. :) Thanks Eric for taking Greg to the ER, Bryan for the crutches, and my cute friend Jennifer for the heart shaped pizza and yummy brownies! (we still owe ya) We have the best friends ever!

For Valentines Day, Greg gave me the prettiest flower arrangement! (so, I had to share a picture with all of you :) He likes to go to the flower shop and "design" his own bouquet. He did a fabulous job!!! Thanks boys!- I love you!!

The boys gave me a webkinz! THE LOVE MONKEY! I love playing the webkinz games. ( I also know that many of you do too, secretly) ! If you haven't tried it....don't start! It is almost as addicting as Facebook! ( If you want to try, go for the smoothie moves! It is so HARD!!) Greg used to give me a hard time about always being on webkinz. I needed to win money for my kids, right?? Whose bulldog is that, you ask? Yes, I have now corrupted my husband!

Ike wanted to get in on the action and have a picture with ALL of our webkinz. Yes, we all have them!! LOVE them.

Our friends, the Poyers, invited us to go to a hockey game on Monday. Our kids are all pretty much the same age and we have the best time with them!

It was a great game. (until the end) Our team started losing in the last period, so it pretty much turned into a boxing match. Every 30 seconds masks went flying and the players were brawling. The boys didnt understand why all they wanted to do was fight. I think our team did win when they werent skating.

This holiday season, I feel I have so much to be thankful for. This year has brought many changes to our family. We have moved, had a new baby, missed many family members, and met many new friends. I am grateful for the trials and opportunities that have come our way. I see so many people struggle, and it really makes me appreciate the things I have. I love being a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend.

Blah, blah, Blah..... But I just wanted to take this time to let you all know how grateful I am to have you in my life.

I leave for Utah on Friday ( 2 DAYS ROB!!) and will be back in January for a lot of posting I am sure! :)

GINGERBREAD HOUSES

This year for our annual gingerbread house decorating, we invited a few friends. We had so much fun, and our kids LOVE all these kids! It is so fun to watch all the kids design their houses, sleds, trains, etc. :)

It was just as fun watching Katie decorate her train while Eric had his own sled! ( I'm sure their kids were around somewhere :) It was pretty funny.

I think everyone had a good time eating ALL the candy. Unfortunately, there was too much left behind..... Well, my family has pretty much taken care of it already. Gotta love the holidays!

Our ward had a pajama breakfast for our Christmas party. The kids' loved wearing their jammies, eating pancakes, and singing Christmas songs.

They especially LOVED Santa. It was a good year. No one was afraid of Santa. I'm sure next year will be a different story!

Ike had his 3rd birthday on Oct. 30th. Crazy how time flies! He wanted a Dora cake until he saw the Power Rangers. Luckily, we didn't have to make this one. It was very yummy. (Although, Greg did think our frosting was better!)

He wanted to go to John's Incredible Pizza, of course. We played our favorite game- Deal or No Deal. We won 200 tickets! Yea, we made a good deal!

Ike is such a fun kid. He has this great personality and is definitely the life of the party! HAPPY BIRTHDAY IKERS!!!

My parents came to visit for the weekend, so we took them to the pumpkin patch. Cole and max loved painting their pumpkins and Ike wanted his face painted instead. Yep, That's about right. Cole and Max practice twice a week and their games' are on Saturday. (They have the same uniform but are on different teams.) I love being a "soccer" mom but wow it keeps us busy. They love it though. Not sure yet if Max likes the game or just the slurpee afterwards. Cole's team is really pretty good. His coach is INTENSE. Scary intense. (Right Kinda?) Kinda's son Braxton is also on Cole's team. Luckily, our boys' don't seem to mind. I think they are learning a lot.

I cannot believe Cole is 7 already!! For his birthday he wanted an Incredible Hulk cake. Easy enough right? WRONG!! No one makes them anymore. So what do we do? Greg and I made the cake! Huge kuddos to my husband. I was getting frustrated as it was not looking like I had imagined. Greg stepped in and helped me out. He is very creative. Cole loved his cake. It was quite yummy. (Even though we all had bright green teeth!)

Cole invited his good friends Brett, Braxton, and Benjamin. We went to the park as usual for a water balloon fight, and pinata. My camera died, so no pics of the pinata :( All in all I think it was a success. HAPPY BIRTHDAY COLE!! We love you.

Today, Max came home from kindergarten and told me they say bad words in his class! WHAT? This is kindergarten!!! Well, they are learning short ( a ) now so they use the word fat. A LONG time ago somebody called someone fat on T.V. I told the boys that this was not a nice word, so they use chubby or fluffy (they came up with that on their own :) So now I have to tell them they can say fat but never CALL anyone fat. Boy, I wish they would always listen this good.

Can you believe school has started? Yesterday was their first day. They were both so excited! I could hear Cole telling Max exactly what he would be doing in Kindergarten. (Now that Cole is so old ya know?) They did not want us to take them to school! They are ready for the bus. They lost out though :0 They did get to ride the bus home. Max is only on there with kindergartners. When I picked him up he was waving like crazy out the window and was so excited! Oh, I wish Cole could ride that bus! Luckily, he is the first stop home so I don't have to worry too long! He loves it! Max has lots of friends from church in his class. I think he is going to have a great year.

Cole doesn't really know anyone in his class this year. I'm sure he will make lots of friends. He does go to the cafeteria now. AHHH - Does the worrying ever stop? Please have a friend to sit by, please don't drop your tray, etc... Am I nuts or what? He really seems to enjoy going and picking his own food. He is very independent. Well, so far, so good! I will keep ya posted. GOOD LUCK BOYS!!!

Greg's sisters Holly, Heidi, and Angee (and the hubbies) brought the crew to California! It was a fun packed busy week! (Greg and I "vacationed" too:) We started off in Arnold. Greg found a nice BIG cabin for all 23 of us!! It had a huge game room for the kids. We went to BIG TREES Park, and Yosemite. Both were amazing. Then they came to Oakdale to check out where we live.. We had to take them to Johns Incredible Pizza to see what all the fuss is about :) The next day, we headed to Santa Cruz for the beach boardwalk!! It was so much fun. Finally, we visited the aquarium in Monterey. The boys love it and wanted to show their cousins. We had so much fun with the family!! We love you guys. Can't wait for our next adventure!! MISS YOU!!

This is only for children under one. I guess she is trying to expand her website and wants "models". The only dates though are Aug. 5-6th. Kinda stinks. Now that she is rolling around everywhere, I love this seat to keep her contained! She LOVES to sit and watch her brothers and thinks she is part of the action. Also, it is so nice to shower and get ready and she just sits there with me!!! Too bad we didn't have this with our other kids. LOVE IT!!

OUR UTAH TRIP

The kids and I went to Utah for a couple of weeks. We did a lot of fun things. We went to a couple different water parks, my parents cabin, did the slippery slide, and of course had to visit the snow shack! ( We miss our snow cone stands!) We really just enjoyed visiting the family. The boys sure miss their cousins. Greg came up for the 4th of July (by train- which he really enjoyed. We may do that for Christmas!) He drove home with us Sunday. It was hard to leave, but we had Greg's family coming to visit the following week. It was crazy busy, but a ton of fun. I will post pics soon of that vacation. We have three vacations this summer. WOW!!! We miss you already EVERYONE!!

Gretta's Blessing

On June 1st we blessed Gretta. Greg gave her a very nice blessing. I had two different ladies write notes of the blessing for me! Gretta did cry a little so it was nice to know what I missed!! Also, Greg made the infamous flank steak for dinner :) We wish our families could have been here, but we took LOTS of pics for ya.

Monterey Trip

On Memorial Day, we decided to take a trip to the Monterey Aquarium. The boys thought it was AWESOME! Cole loved the jelly fish, Max and Greg loved the sharks, and Ike's favorite was- ALL THE FISH! I think I'll go with the Hammer head, but the otters and penguins sure were cute.

It was such a nice day, we headed to the beach afterward. The boys just wanted to chase the birds. Max LOVED the water and kept getting deeper and deeper. Ike and Cole were not as in to the water. Maybe because they didn't have swimming suits. It was so much fun, until we had to take the soaking wet, sand covered kids home! (I'm sure this is why Greg LOVES the beach!)

COLE IS A FIRST GRADER!!

Cole had his last day of kindergarten the 22nd. They put on a little show for their graduation. Here is Cole doing a little diddy! Who knew he had it in him. It really made Greg and I a little emotional. Funny huh? We are just so proud of him. He did a great job adjusting in his new school.

Cole made a lot of new friends this year. Hopefully they will be in the same class next year.

Cole had a WONDERFUL teacher, Mrs. Guichard. Everyone loved her and she is great with the kids. I know she helped make the move for Cole easier. I think she is also why Cole loves to read. She made it fun for him. GOOD JOB COLE!!!!!

Max had his preschool graduation this month. He was in a joy school with a few kids from our ward. They did a lot of fun things and Max loved it! He says he found another girlfriend. His first girlfriend, Audrey, is in Layton. He still talks about her all the time. Now Caroline is his girlfriend here. I wonder if she feels the same????? ( I must say, he does have good taste!) So now we count down the LOOONNNGGG summer days until he gets to ride the bus with Cole. Oh the thought already makes me sick!!! I am glad he is so excited for school though. CONGRATS MAX!!!!!

Max's teacher made this cake. Cute huh? I told Greg I was going to start baking like that. Still hasn't happened. Wishful thinking I guess. Maybe someday.

Because babies grow WAY too fast, I am trying to post new pics of Gretta often. Grandma Lola hasn't seen Gretta since she was 2 days old! Lola is serving a mission in New Zealand! WE MISS HER!! We do have SKYPE which helps a little. Grandma Joy, (as Greg likes to call her) saw her when she was 5 weeks, so it has been awhile. She is getting so big so fast! She now smiles a lot and even laughs (especially at her daddy's funny faces.)

During Max's party, the boys decided to have a "treasure hunt" up a dirt hill. I think the hill got the best of Max. He came tumbling down!! Luckily he just laughed, even though he did tell me it hurt A LOT!!! Then the boys decided to practice their camping skills,again in the dirt!!! BOYS WILL BE BOYS!!!

Max turned 5 on May 9th. He had a father/son camp out that night so we celebrated on the 15th. Max wanted a pirate party at the park. Of course the day we chose it was 100 degrees!!! Oh it was so hot! We had a water balloon fight to cool things down.(Well, Greg and all the kids did. I think Greg was their main target!!) We also had a pinata which Greg broke that open too, hmmmm who was the party for??? Max sure has some cute friends!

Well, every Thursday while the other boys are in school, Ike and I have OUR time. We always go to our supermarket and have lunch. This store (RALEYS) has it all. You will never guess what we have for lunch. SQUID SALAD!!! (and diet coke :) I'm sure everyone is wondering what that two year old is eating!! Oh, he let's them know. He always says "this squid salad is soooo yummy" nice and loud for everyone to hear. It is pretty funny.

Well Gretta is certainly growing fast!! She is now 12lbs 5oz. and 22 1/2 in. She has jumped from the 25% to 50% YEAH!! She is really starting to smile A LOT!! She had her 4 shots today :( I swear this is harder on the parents!! Not to brag, but she really is the best baby!!

Ike is our rock star! He loves ROCKBAND! (almost as much as his mom!) Whenever American Idol is on, he grabs his guitar and starts jammin'. He tries to sing along too. It is hilarious!

This is the day the ragamuffins were out! Ike couldn't find a bike helmet so decided to wear Cole's ski one. Goggles and all!

Max is our social one. We don't know where he gets it! We were at one of the kids' favorite places, JOHNS INCREDIBLE PIZZA, and Max decided to join in on the dancing! I do know where he gets his moves-HIS DAD!! GO MAX, GO MAX!

We are finishing our backyard....SLOWLY... and Max decided to help the guy. All of a sudden Greg and I hear Max outside. He had put on his fancy boots, grabbed his own shovel and even brought out some water for the workers!! Mr. Independent.

Cole is just finishing kindergarten and loves school. He especially loves the bus! ( My nightmare! I guess at some point you just have to let them grow up.) He is such a great reader. He had to read a scripture in primary so now he wants his OWN scriptures. (His dad told him he could just have mine) :) Funny guy!

Cole has made a lot of new friends. He loves playing baseball. We went to the Modesto Nuts game. They are a minor league team here. Cole and Max's team are also the Modesto Nuts so they think that is pretty cool. GO NUTS!!

The Easter Egg Hunt

This Easter season we had a lot of fun! We went to the annual Oakdale Easter hunt with our new friends the Whitemyers.

My sister Angela and I were just saying that four kids looks like so many more than three. It definitely is much harder to get them to look at the camera for a decent picture!! Gotta love 'em!

Well, Greg and I celebrated our 8th anniversary on March 3rd. ( He was in Atlanta for business and I had my mom and sister here visiting. How romantic huh?) 8 yrs. and 4 kids later we have survived!! I truly feel blessed! My little family just has so much fun together!

DADDY'S LITTLE GIRL

IT'S A GIRL! We are very excited about our new baby girl! Gretta joined our family Feb. 22nd. She was 6lb. 70z. and 18 3/4 in. The boys cannot get enough of her. I still can't get used to the idea of having a girl. I always call her "he" and "buddy". (Which, of course she is my buddy!! :) My new ward threw an amazing shower for me, so I'm sure with all the frilly bows and clothes, I'll get used to having a girl pretty quickly! Luckily for me she is an easy baby. She even sleeps through the night. Welcome to our family Gretta- WE LOVE YOU!!!!

THE BIG MOVE!!

Here the boys are buried in their Christmas gifts! Our car was jammed packed! Any sudden moves and the toys were everywhere! All of Santa's toys made the move to California a little easier. They had something to look forward too. Christmas in Utah was fun, but Santa may have to come early to California next year. I must say that even with all this stuff, the boys were troopers.
